Katarzyna Sikora (born in 1974 in Warsaw) – University of Warsaw graduate, specialist in the protection and promotion of cultural assets, international promotion of regions and also in organization of artistic events.

Kararzyna started her professional career co-operating in organization of events for Syrena Entertainment Group and Disney. Since 1994 she has been organizing many exhibitions and shows for artists and events for companies in Poland and abroad.

Katarzyna started to travel intensively in 1995, never leaving her home without her camera. Her first trips were in Europe and North America and in time her love of travel took her to other continents. Since 2000 Sikora has photographed in Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, Japan, Indian Rajasthan and Uzbekistan while travelling along parts of the Silk Road.

The passion for photography took her to countries such as South Africa, Botswana, Kenya, Namibia, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Visits to numerous national parks and taking part in photographic safari expeditions let Kararzyna feel the rhythm of nature and give herself up to the beauty of infinite space. The fascination with the lives of wild animals is reflected in her photographs.

Subsequent trips were to Latin America including Ecuador with the wonder of Galapagos Islands, Mexico and to wonderful Brazil and its hot carnival atmosphere.

Katarzyna Sikora loves sunny places but nothing could stop her from going to cold parts of North America, to Alaska and Canada. However it is the Near East that became her frequently visited place. She divides her life between her native Poland and Israel – the country that conquered her with its rich and dramatic history and unusual culture differences.

Travelling around the world made Katarzyna rediscover the beauty of her own native country, its wonderful landscapes and unique culture and history. She thinks that the best promotion abroad for Poland are people who respect and love Poland.

Photography for Sikora is writing a diary or taking pictorial records of transient life, it is a souvenir of our presence here and now, sharing our reflections and memories with others.
